Owning a home is easily the most expensive thing most of us will ever do. But when you sign the closing papers, nobody hands you an instruction manual for the house.
Suddenly, you are in charge of maintaining a complicated web of systems: a roof, a heating and cooling system, a water heater, appliances, plumbing lines, electrical boxes, gutters, and maybe even a pool.
Each of these systems has its own set of rules, filter sizes, and maintenance intervals.
The problem with memory
Because life gets busy, maintenance is extremely easy to ignore. You don't think about your furnace filter until the air gets dusty. You don't think about your water heater until your shower runs cold. You don't think about cleaning your gutters until a heavy storm overflows water next to your foundation.
Relying on memory means we usually remember when something breaks. And by then, a simple $20 maintenance task has turned into a $3,000 repair bill.
Why we exist
We built CasaKeepr because we wanted a simple, reliable tool to manage our homes without keeping a massive mental checklist or spending hours setting up a spreadsheet that we would eventually forget to update.
We wanted a system that would tell us:
- Exactly what appliances and features we have, how old they are, and what parts they need.
- When simple tasks (like filters, flushing lines, and checking safety detectors) are actually due.
- What expensive repairs we should start budgeting for in the next few years.
CasaKeepr is built to be simple enough to use regularly and structured enough to keep you on track. We charge a small, transparent subscription fee so we can focus entirely on building a great tool for you, not selling your data or advertising service companies.
"Our goal isn't to replace contractors. It's to help you need them less often."
